Accommodation Cooking Classes in Tuscany

Casa Ombuto

Casa Ombuto, where our cooking classes in Tuscany are held, is a Tuscan villa that pre-dates 1800 (its original section dates to at least 1642). Set in a secluded hilltop on an 80 acre large estate it offers absolute peace and quiet with spectacular views of the surrounding hills. The closest village is Poppi with its enchanting castle has been classified "I Borghi piu belli d’Italia” - as one of the most beautiful villages of Italy. Upon arrival at Casa Ombuto most guests say immediately that the pictures on the website do not do the accommodation justice - it's much better in reality!

The villa has 8 romantic double bedrooms with adjoining stylish marbled bathrooms with either bath or shower. All the suites have either wonderful terraces or balconies with spectacular views. The accommodation has been comfortably furnished in farm style teak furniture with great attention to detail. Cozy living rooms with fireplaces, furnished with teak colonial-style furniture (custom-made for us in Bali) reflect our passion for international travel and collecting international pieces. The original wooden beams and terracotta floors have been restored and create a true Tuscan ambiance.

Outdoor area

The large private outdoor area includes a wonderful solar heated pool with jet stream, a hot tub and outdoor dining areas on the magical piazza. A Fruit tree orchard lies close by and offers an abundance of fresh fruit in season.  

Location

Casa Ombuto is positioned 50km south of Florence, 35km from Arezzo, 85km from Sienna and 4km from Poppi, which is a picturesque medieval town situated in the heart of the Casentino valley. An ideal location to enjoy your cooking classes in Tuscany.
