Torre del Tartufo was the second villa added to the Tuscookany cooking classes Italy. It is set in the hillsides close to Arezzo on an estate of 30 acres. Torre del Tartufo means “Tower of Truffles” and got its name from the truffle estate surrounding the villa, making it famous in the area and great for seeing how truffles are found and of course how to prepare these in many wonderful dishes. It’s a wonderful location to enjoy your Italian cooking vacation.
The original villa dates back to before 1700, it is suspected to have been a chapel to which pieces have been added on over the centuries as the community grew.
Location in the Tuscan hills
Torre del Tartufo is very secluded with a view of the surrounding hills and valleys that seems to go on forever,yet it is close to Arezzo (about 15 minutes) Cortona (30 minutes) and Anghiari (20 minutes) is a "I Borghi piu Belli d'Italia". Florence and Siena are about an hour away.
Bedrooms all have ensuite marble bathrooms
The villa has 12 double bedrooms all with en-suite bathrooms. In the “Torre” (tower) part of the villa there are five bedrooms, all en-suite with bath and shower and a large communal lounge with a computer, internet access area, kitchenette and television. In the west wing there are seven other bedrooms all with en suite bathrooms. Two to three rooms share a cozy lounge with fireplace with lovely views of the hills or gardens. If you are a group of 3 your more we can arrange you have your own private suite with two or three bedrooms depending on your accommodation requirements.
The accommodation has been comfortably furnished with great attention to detail. Living areas all have fireplaces and a kitchenette. The large private outdoor area has many different possibilities. The "piazza" is set up between the Torre wing and the west wing of the villa and the two wings are connected with an arch where breakfast will be served if weather permits. Dinner is served under a spectular pergola just outside the cantina with a breathtaking view when its warm enough.
Other facilities include a spa with sauna and steam room
The cantina, bar, indoor dining room and lounge open out onto this square making it a wonderful space to meet and dine together after cooking up a feast during your cooking classes Italy. The view will render you speechless!
On a plateau with a panoramic view is the solar heated swimming pool (15 x 8m) with hydro massage and jet stream features.
Other features include a hot tub made from a wine barrel, a sauna and steam room as well as a fitness area. The pool area is equipped with garden furniture and a barbecue. This breathtaking spot has a great view of the hills, valleys and extensive woods, which is the ideal place to relax and enjoy nature.

At Torre del Tartufo you can either take the One Week Italian Cooking Course or the Three Day Italian Cooking Course.
